The heat is on

The pregnancy hotness has officially hit me. When I am my normal self I tend to be cold-natured. If it falls below 80 degrees outside, I get cold. So this internal heat wave has taken me by surprise. I guess I noticed it the other night when I woke up in the middle of the night hot. This wouldn't have been so unusual except that it was in the 30's outside and we had our heat turned off. Poor Ryan has had some frozen nights. I have also noticed it at church, especially when I hold Cole. I usually take him with me for the second and third hour so Kristina can play the piano for the primary. During the third hour I go to young women's and that room is usually freezing (or so they say). I am usually burning up during Sunday School, so walking into a cold room while holding a warm baby feels good. I suspect my heat wave will only get worse as time passes. Luckily, it's still winter and I won't have to endure a Texas summer while pregnant. It feels good to not be the coldest one in the room anymore!

On a side note, I feel Cannon move all the time! He definitely has awake times and sleeping times. Generally, he has an awake time in the early evening around 7:00 or 8:00. I probably notice it more because that is usually when I am relaxing at home. Sometimes he moves around when we are going to bed. He also has an awake time early in the morning, before I get up. Sometimes he will start moving in the middle of the night and that has started to wake me up. I can also feel him several times during the day when I am at work, usually when I am sitting down. Ryan, or anyone who puts their hand on my belly, has been able to feel him move. Ryan started feeling him at 19 weeks. On Sunday we saw my belly move. It wasn't a huge move, more like a twitch, but it was still fun to see. This week I have noticed that his moves are becoming stronger and more frequent. He only hurts me when he buries himself as far south as he can go, which seems to be his favorite hang out spot. He tends to be really low and towards my right, but this week he ventured out to the left and even up to the top!

Oh, and I bought his bumper pad for his crib. After we found out that it was a boy and not a girl, I had to rethink the nursery decorations. I finally found a bumper pad that I liked at Pottery Barn, but it was $89. I looked at other places to see if I could find a similar one, but with a lower price. No luck. So I decided to look on Ebay and, voila, I found it for $25! It arrived in the mail the other day and I am so excited about it! I don't want to get the whole bedding set. The only other item I want is the crib skirt, but I haven't seen it on Ebay yet.

Here is what the bumper pad looks like. It is light blue on one side, and white on the other, with stripes on top. The crib I want to get is white, instead of dark wood.
