Algebra II Test

On Tuesday evening I decided to hang out with Ryan in his classroom. It's only 5 minutes from my office, so I left when I was finished with my work. He was busy grading their tests they took that week and he handed one for me to take. I took a look at it and so much of it looked familiar, but I couldn't remember how to do it. I did it anyway and I ended up guessing on a lot of answers. I paced the room as Ryan graded it. I told him to just grade it straight up and not to give me any slack. He said he would grade it the same way he was grading the student's tests. A few minutes later he announced, "Congratulations, you got a 90." Wow, I'm that good! He decided to save Mrs. Rees' test to show his class that even his pregnant wife, who hasn't taken a math class in years, can get an A. Half of his class failed the test, so let this be a lesson to them.

Pregnancy "fog" or am I just a dork?

I have really been losing my mind lately. I realized this two days ago when I was licking the lid from my yogurt and saw that I had let the whole cup of yogurt spill down the front of my shirt, pants, shoe, garbage can, and end up in a puddle on the floor. In the past few weeks I have successfully locked myself out of my car, left my lunch at home (more than once), left the lights on home after I left for work, left the milk out all day, forget my phone number, forget to turn down my street. The list goes on. However, I have remembered my name, to brush my teeth everyday and wear deodorant.

Check out my new stroller!

No, I don't think it's too early to buy a stroller. Especially when you find the one you want and it's a good deal. I had previously decided that I wanted the Britax Companion car seat and the the Britax Preview stroller. When it comes to car seats, Britax has always been my favorite. I was looking on craigslist the other day and saw an ad for a brand new Britax Preview stroller for only $65! The post was a couple weeks old, so I assumed that it was already sold and that the person forgot to delete the post. Well, I decided to take a chance and I was lucky! The stroller was the floor model at Baby Earth (yes, we have the actual store here) and this particular model has been discontinued. So I went and picked up the stroller today and paid $65, with no tax! It's a great stoller and has lots of features I like. The only thing it doesn't have is the reversable handles so the baby can see me when we go for a walk. And they have also discontinued the Companion car seat and the new one might not fit in the stroller. But that doesn't really bother me. I want to see what the new car seat looks like and then I will decide if I want the new model or the old model. It is supposed to come out in January, but you never know. Hopefully it will be out before May.

The color is black and charcoal. It is very lightweight and folds compactly, with one hand. It has a cool mini diaper bag that zips onto the bag and you can take it off. It also has a full recline. There are many more other features, but I'll just name my favorites. I love it! I'm so excited to buy a stroller and I can't wait to take the baby for a walk!

Thanks Carmel for posing in the pictures for me.

Always an adventure!

People have been asking to see pictures of me. So here's my belly. This was taken a week ago, but I don't think it really makes a difference in size. I wasn't wearing any makeup and my hair was a mess, so next time I'll post pictures when I look cute.

Ryan and I just moved into a new house! Earlier this week, Ryan was moving boxes out of his parent's house and he decided to check the attic for any of our things. He was very cautious going up the attic steps because they are broken in one area. All of a sudden I heard a loud crash! I turned around to find Ryan's leg and his foot dangling in front of my face! Yes, my husband fell through the ceiling! Luckily he caught himself or else he would have come all the way through. He bumped his rib and got a splinter, but mostly it was just hillarious! So Ryan then proceeds to call his dad to tell him of the incident. "Dad. There was an accident at your house. I'll pay for it." He sounded like a 12 year old kid who just hit a baseball through a window. He figured his parents wouldn't be too angry since they were on their way home from the temple. Of course, they were mostly concerned about Ryan and not the gaping whole in their ceiling. Fortunately for us, my dad's family owns a drywall company, so my dad is having his patching crew come over and fix it. All the white stuff you see is insulation. Oddly enough, my dad and my brother Ryan came over that night to help us move. My brother Ryan had also fallen though my dad's ceiling when he was putting away the Halloween decorations. What's with the Ryans?

So I think all the hormones are finally catching up to me. Up until today I haven't been cranky, moody, or sad. This morning before church I was waiting for Ryan. I found an Austin Monthly Magazine all about dogs and pets, so I started reading. They had one section that showed the pictures of the contestants for the cover contest. Cute. Then they had one section entitled, only the face a mother could love. I was curious to see what kinds of pets were in that section. As I began reading and looking at the pictures of these poor helpless looking creatures I started laughing. But suddenly that laughter turned into crying. I tried to stop myself, but I couldn't. Then Ryan came into the room and I really broke down. He thought I was nuts. I was nuts. I was crying over dogs and cats that looked sad. It doesn't make sense. If you get a chance to read it, do it. It just might make you cry.

The other pictures

Here are the other pictures I promised. Like I said, the baby was out of control! It spent most of the time upside down. It didn't lay on its back until it went to sleep. On a side note, I had a dream that it was a girl. She was born four weeks early, weighed 6 lbs 1 oz and Ryan named her Samone (spelled just like that). Completely random, I know.
