Visitors

Ryan was called to be in the bishopric just a couple weeks after we moved in. Rick and Kristina and their kids were able to come down Labor Day weekend was Ryan was going to be set apart. Rick was able to ordain Ryan as a High Priest, which made it even more special.

We didn't tell Cannon that they were coming, so it was a complete surprise for him! They were able to rent a house in Windsor Terrace not too far from us. I took Cannon on the bus and told him we were going to play with some friends. When we got off the bus all the kid were there with Kristina on the corner.  Cannon saw them, but was in such complete shock that it took him quite a while to fully comprehend the situation! After a couple hours then he got excited!

I think we wore them out that weekend! We are used to walking everywhere now, so it didn't really phase us. We took them to Central Park, visited the church at the temple, showed them around the neighborhood, and, of course, had our fair share of pizza. Cole and Lyla slept at our place one night. The kids had so much fun playing and just being together.

Then in October, Mom and Dad Rees came to see us. We were the first stop on their grandkids tour. Again, we completely wore them out! We showed the Ryan's work, ate at Le District and Spinkles cupcakes, walked around Battery Park City, did the Empire State Building, showed them the temple, attended the ward Halloween party, and introduced them to our favorite neighborhood pizza Lo Duca's. They were also able to come with me to pick up Cannon from school one day and meet his friends. Cannon was delighted to play tour guide and wow Mom and Dad with his subway skills.

We love having visitors and getting to play tourist!
